About
NRCPD Registered Speech-to-text Reporter
BIVR Qualified Realtime Reporter (QRR*)
I have been a stenographer since 1996, beginning my career in the Crown Courts of London, though I no longer work in court.
In 1997, I joined the BBC’s live subtitling department and trained as a broadcast captioner. For 12 years, I captioned a variety of programmes, such as the news, current affairs, sport, and lifestyle shows.
These days, I love providing verbatim speech-to-text (onsite or remotely) for meetings, conferences, festivals, webinars, galleries and museums. I am passionate about access and inclusion.
I joined the National Registers of Communication Professionals (NRCPD) in May 2019.
Memberships: Association of Verbatim Reporters (AVSTTR)
British Institute of Verbatim Reporters (BIVR)
