Please note that the Institute is not an agency but an organisation which has a membership of verbatim reporters, scopists/editors and audio transcribers. Those members who choose to be listed in this public directory have provided, to our satisfaction, evidence of ongoing practice. Not all of our members opt in to appear in this public directory.

  • About Our Member

  • I started stenography training in 1994 at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, Lancashire.

Having worked in Chancery, Marcantile, Crown and Civil Courts until 2000, I then began a career in TV Captioning/Subtitling where I covered TV channels, including the BBC, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, Australian TV as well as Canadian an American TV.

In 2017, I began my freelance adventure. Since this time, here is a small snapshot of what I have worked on, whether it be in the UK or overseas.

One-to-one communication support for the D/deaf/hard of hearing.
Large & small conferences and meetings, remotely and on-site, for banks, pharmaceutical companies, charities and also theatre companies, allowing productions to be fully accessible.
Arbitrations, Court Cases, Disciplinaries - on-site only.
