About
I am a fully-qualified, freelance Speech-to-Text Reporter/Stenographer who learnt my skills as a realtime writer for the BBC. I have attended various galleries and museums around the UK for Stagetext and direct to clients over the past 15 years and thoroughly enjoy the challenging work. Other assignments are vast and varied, ranging from very informal meetings, even in client’s houses or cafés, to intergovernmental conferences. I have worked in both Hong Kong in Asia direct to a technology company and have provided the Full Stack UK (coding) Conference with live subtitles working closely with the AV Team. Through various agents, I have attended Microsoft events. Also I enjoy working remotely from home using Streamtext (I have worked for the British Museum and Festivals in the Isle of Man in this way).
In 2004, I joined the National Registers for Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD). I recently passed the BIVR VR (Verbatim Reporter) membership examination to add to my STTR membership status and have passed the BIVR-accredited QRR3 examination.
Fellow of the BIVR by virtue of having STTR qualifications with NRCPD Register, and BIVR QRR2* and QRR3 and VR Verbatim Reporting exam set by BIVR in 2019 in the legal area as well.
