About

I am a fully-qualified stenographer with over 25 years’ experience. I began my career at Snaresbrook Crown Court and honed my skill to gain the position of stenographer to the resident judge. I then took up a post at the Old Bailey for the next four years, involved in many confidential court proceedings.

From there, I moved to the BBC and retrained to become a broadcast stenographer. Over the next 19 years, I worked for major clients in UK television – BBC, Sky News, Sky Sports, Channel 4, Channel 5 and BT Sport. I have captioned all genres of live real-time output as well as pre-prepared output, including news, sport and entertainment.

Now working freelance, I am broadening my skills and field of expertise as a verbatim speech-to-text stenographer.
